    Hello,

driving the same routes again and again gets boring, but I refuse to buy the offered DLC as it is too expensive.

26,99 Euro for a single route is too much.

    Have a nice time.

It's a fair price for a new route but I would certainly assert it's time for a permanent discount on some of the older stuff.

Wait for a sale lol. It's expensive for sure but if you want cheaper, that's what you got to do

Your gonna have to wait for a sale. DTG aren't gonna lower prices even if you think a dlc isn't worth the asking price

I’ve noticed over the last almost 3 years on the Xbox platform sales are like finding a living dinosaur.
Not sure why there’s sales on other platforms but rarely if ever on Xbox. You would think it would be more level playing field. I think more people would be inclined to spend more money if there were more sales taking place. I know I would likely buy additional locomotives and routes at a reduced rate that I may not have purchased otherwise. Likewise I would pay full price for something I really want. I waited a year and a half before purchasing Oakville because I was hoping it would come on sale like it did on every other platform, but it didn’t so I gave up and paid full price for it.

So it’s not about not making money. Because they will make the money.

I know it's an older route but I bought Harlem Line for PS4 yesterday in a sale on playstation store . Think it was just over £17.00

I find that with the detail that goes into each route, and the prices you have to pay in Train Sim Classic, I'm surprised DTG are even making a profit at £24.99! Each to their own I suppose.

Xbox DLCs have very few sales because Microsoft won't let DTG have that many. DTG says they like sales because it increases the amount of people buying things, so they try and have as many as possible.

To be clear, this is DLC sales, not base game sales.

I guess since microsoft gives you a discount of 10% they never let dtg have many sales meaning us xbox players are always left spending rakes of money onto a route

With UK inflation currently running at 10% if DTG hold the prices as they are they are technically falling in real terms. But problem is everything else is going up which means people are spending less on discretionary purchases like DLC.

I suspect their costs are also rising, power is a big one now!

I've bought all but three DLCs whilst discounted ... but nevertheless I'd be happy to more for DLCs if it means DTG can afford to make them better quality.

I gotta say t's absolutely ridiculous that at the very least TSW2020 content hasn't had a permanent price cut yet. I don't see why a new player would grab for example East Coastway over Brighten Main Line, or older German routes, like Rapid Transit over say Nahverkehr Dresden - Riesa. For TSW2020 routes I'd say they absolutely warrant a price cut, I'd say sell them at $15, or at least get them down to $20. And perhaps with routes like Ruhr Sieg Nord which have loco DLCs offer bundles which have them included at a huge discount.

I agree. I'm new to Xbox but I know all those routes from PS4 so I have to agree it's deceiving for new players. Although the content has been updated, even the newer content of TSW2 looks outdated in TSW3. I understand they don't put last years content on sale, I did buy the Rush Hour bundle when it was on sale.

But for my wallet it is best they keep the prices like this. I don't need the TSW2 content. A sale might persuade me to throw bucks at content I already played and don't need :D

It's a vicious circle, but generally entertainment media does not seem to be driven by inflation. I pay less for a movie now on Blu-ray or even 4K than I did 25 years ago on the big 12" laserdisc format. CD's still clock in at between £10 and £15.
