Class 117 and 121 in BR Blue and Blue/Grey. Class 123 express DMU in BR Blue/Grey. Class 128 parcels DMU in BR Blue parcels. These were to be seen far more frequently than the current Class 101 units. Furthermore, the Class 123 and 128 (with slight changes) can be layered onto Northern Transpennine as well with both in service there during the early 1980s.
