Hi, I've just tried the update to Hmmsim which now has Nvidia DLSS for RTX cards - the results are amazing. I can run at 4K with a 40% increase in FPS over TAA while the visuals are so much better than TAA. There's no AA flicker and the graphics are crisp. I also read that Simrail are to use this tech too. Any reason why TSW2 can't add support for DLSS?
As much as DLSS ray tracing would be nice, most of the player base are on console (no DLSS there) and given current world events it is nearly impossible to get an RTX Card for a reasonable price. Until the prices go down (if they go down) I don't see it being viable for dovetail to implement a feature that only a small percentage of users would be able to take advantage of. Plus, TSW is already poorly optimized. DLSS and ray tracing would make it a whole lot worse
I don't know much about the tech other than the dev needing a UE plugin. If a niche project like hmmsim did it I can't see why not... Unless models or materials have to be altered in someway.
