    Hi guys

Quick question, wasn't there a green DMU British rail coming out or did imagine it?

    Thanks

Simtrack are working on the Class 104 for Peak Forest, no news on a release date.

There might be some news about this on 8/20. Let's hope so because it's been forever since it was announced.

Maybe they could have just taken the old 101 and changed the numbers. Just joking and I know they're adding rolling stock and some scenarios/timetable.

But you have to wonder where this thing is.

Yeah, change the numbers on the 101 and give it a quick paint job, nobody would notice...bar everybody :)

Given all we have ever seen is a screenshot of the thing as grayscale in a 3D modelling package, have to share the pessimism it may turn to vapourware. On the surface, apart from the different physical appearance and interior, physics and sound wise this would perform almost identical to the Met Cam the only slight difference being maybe the weight and the 104's were fitted with BUT (Leyland) engines as opposed to AEC engines. But then the Met Cam in game sounds more like the former anyway.

We really ought to be seeing screenshots of it in game by now, to whet our appetites. Certainly gives credence to not announcing content at too early a stage of development.

As you say. maybe more a week Tuesday.

I agree, it does feel as if the most difficult bits can just be lifted from the 101 really, so I’m surprised it’s taken so long. It may mean it’s not going to happen, or it may mean they’re doing a very sophisticated job of getting the physics and sounds spot on for a 104. The problem is, I’m not sure how any of us will be able to tell the difference! I travelled on 101s and 104s, but I can’t say I can remember how they were different in terms of sound or performance! They just looked different.

Didn't someone from Simtrack post a month back in a thread on the 104 someone started that they had some issues but it is still progressing?

From what I recall the class 104's tended to have a more raspy exhaust note than the class 101. There are lots of other differences, the control desk and instruments will be different. The seating and light fittings will be different. Don't forget this is their first model too. They might be still researching/making a suitable timetable too.

I don't see any reason to think it isn't going to happen.
