Hi all, I have the following system: ASUS Laptop Zenbook Pro 14 Intel Core i9 13900H 32 GB RAM 1 TB SSD 8 GB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 GPU - latest Game Ready Driver 537.42 from Sept 21 Win11 64 Home 14.5" Screen @ 2880 x 1800 TSC2023 1366 x 768 resolution TSC2023 graphics menu settings @ HIGH(est) TSC2023 Public Beta Build 75.6a Below the (automatic) settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel for Railworks64.exe: Do these settings make sense or should I / do you recommend tweaking them for the best TSC2023 experience ? Do above settings make sense or should I / do you recommend tweaking them for the best TSC2023 experience ?
The latest Nvidia driver is 537.58 released on 10/10/23. I don't bother with the Nvidia Global settings as I don't see any difference in using them or just the TSC settings. I run an Intel i5 10600K CPU and an Asus RTX 3060 TI 8 GB OC card on a desktop computer and can run TSC on maximum graphics settings with full antialiasing etc. On less graphics-intense routes I can get 60 to 70 FPS and drop down to about 30 to 40 FPS on the more graphics-intense ones.
Hi Trev Just curious, is that at 3X3 SSAA and what resolution are you using? I ask as I am running a 2K wide screen (3440x1440) and if I was using maxed out settings which they are except for the SSAA which is running at 2X2, if I go any higher I start to see framerates on the more graphical routes in heavy places drop into the 20's. I am running a 13700KF paired with a 4070 TI and I am getting about the same performance as you are but I dont have settings maxed out
My monitor is only a 1900 x 1080P 24" so I run at that resolution. I really don't have the desk space for anything bigger.
By using a launch option when starting TSC I limit the max FPS. But I see that in the Nvidia setting I can also limit the nax FPS. Is it in theory better to set ut in the nvidia than to use a launch option ?
Cheers Trev that makes sense, its all good and well to have a spiffy monitor but sometimes not having to produce as many pixels has its advantage
