They are our neighbours from the PC forum. They're out partying and bingeing, celebrating discounts of up to 75% on new releases like Sherman Hill or class 313. In the meantime we'll settle for a 40% discount on things that are a year old. That's life, we poor people will pay for the party. Anyway it could be even worse, imagine if you were the neighbours of XBOX
There was a recent big sale for PS users but yeah it would be nice for newer DLC's to get a sale as well.
Why the envy? These guys spend a zillion bucks for chasing the latest HW to squeeze out the last little fps off their game PCs. And half of the time in front of the desktop is occupied with tweaking. I´m a happy PS user who doesn´t have such concerns. I got a straight and honest Crash To Desktop when my HW is overloaded and there´s nothing I can do about.
Uhhh, the PS Store January Sale (with some routes down to £3.74) only finished yesterday! I'm with Pipe - I'd happily pay a little more to spend my time playing and not dicking about with graphics settings and hardware issues!
It's not envy, really. Although I've always seen better prices on PC, I've been a console gamer since I bought my first Sega Master System, and the idea of playing on a computer has never appealed to me. I'm really glad that tsw fans on PC can have these great deals, but I also wish they were a bit more equitable across all platforms. On PlayStation we get frequent discounts but I've yet to see anything comparable to what's being done on PC. So in a way, I see it as a bit unfair and I'd like to see this change sometime. I don't see any reason why console gamers deserve less.
Well, since you have made reference to these latest end of year offers, let's compare the latest releases: Diesel legends: 0% PC: 75% Hamburg-Lubeck: 40% PC: 0% Clinchfield: 40 % PC: 75% Cane Creek: 0% PC: 40% Boston Sprinter: 0% PC: 75% Naverhkehr Dresden: 0% PC: 75% London Conmuter: 0% PC: 75% 1938 Stock: 0% PC: 50% Class 313: 0% PC: 75% Sherman Hill: 0% PC: 75% G6: 0% PC: 10%
I know you´re not envious. It was more like an ironic remark from me towards the PC worshippers and her permanent rush after the latest hardware and tweaks. Been trough that in my pretty active flight simming times, it was never enough to feed the beast. You could come up with the latest NASA quantum computer but an incredible resource hog like a complex simulator won´t be happy still. There went a few bucks ..... I´m happy with the PS4 concept of fire-up-´n-play. ALTHOUGH, I´d love to see in TSW2 a few more sliders to tweak around with AI Traffic, Scenery Complexity and Graphics. But it is what it is. Completely agree with you on the comercial side note. Even more that I bought almost all german DLCs and locos end of November (yeah, stupid me!), to find out short before Christmas that I could have most of them with 50-75% off. But that´s life - you win some, you lose some.
Exactly that. On console it's very simple: if the game looks terrible it's the developers fault. No excuses like "have you done this or that ? or "it's your hardware's fault"? As a consumer it's very easy to say "look CDPR, this is not what AAA games should look like on PS 4's, this is a scam, give us our money back" when you own a console. On PC's they wouldn't had to admit to anything, Just confuse everyone for months by blaming everything but themselves.
Absolutely! I remember Microsoft´s ludicrous "Minimum PC Requirements" for their Flight Sims: Always good for a laughter. With that, a PMDG 747-400 on a Comercial Scenery from FRA or LAX would´ve given you a slide show of 1fps, if at all. Let alone the PC cooling, maaaan what did we not invent. LOL My (used) PS4 purchase is a Corona-Child. Lots of great games to play, TSW2 amongst them. It gave the family a great deal of fun in difficult times. And that´s what it´s supposed to be.
do you hear the people sing, singing the songs of...... oh sorry the title of this thread reminded me of something
