I think the DLR would be a great addition to train sim world since the game lacks metro systems and light rail systems. I think this would be the perfect start route.

DLR.gif This would be the route and map and would take around 1 hour from lewisham to stratford 30 mins from woolwich arsenal and lewisham to bank 40 mins from beckton to tower gateway and 1 hour from lewisham/woolwich arsenal/beckton/canary wharf to stratfrod/stratford international DLR rolling stock.jpg This would be the rolling stock the B07 stock and would run the entire line. There would be a add-on for the new DLR trains wich would start being put in to passanger service next year.
I think the DLR would be a perfect additon to train sim world

    DLR trains are self driven.

Would prefer another London Underground route before a DLR route.

Another Underground or Overground route would be better imo.

I guess you could have it on manual control

But that is only used in exceptional circumstances and at very low speed. ATO is used on Glasgow Subway in TSC and literally all you do is push a button to open the doors then another to start the train.

Ok, DLR is pretty much off the table although I’ll say ATO on a small section (XR or TL tunnel) isn’t too bad.

Can't see this ever happening, this is a train-driving sim! Although if we ever get the c2c line in TSW, it would be nice to have the DLR running alongside between Limehouse and Tower Gateway.

Here's a thought though... the member of staff on board does manually drive trains in and out the depot every day. They do do depot movements/train washes and given we have fault simulation, the fleet are prone to regular faults resulting in manual driving. There's also the option to drive ATPM as well as emergency Shunt. I think it isn't actually a bad idea, given we have the guard mode as well. Peak services can be very busy with peak trains going out and back into the depots again. This would be better compared to a LU ATO route where you're just stuck in the cab. The DLR you are actively moving through the train.

We also have the ever dying B92 fleet and the brand new B23s expected to start service this year. 3 different rolling stocks that have their own unique quirks to me would be appealing.

Going to contradict myself now, thanks to TSW5's announced Conductor Mode. Not sure this would ever be a viable DLC for little more than that mode, but you never know.

It is not the most ideal of options for Train sim World content however it is TFL so I would love it still. Especially, as they emphasised the guard mode. It would be cool

I disagree. In my opinion a London Underground route would be much better. Respect your opinion though

It is part if the modern day and it would offer a different experience for players. If you dislike it then you should play it in manual.

I agree. The Overground seemed to go down a treat so they could do that if it would be much easier than the London Underground. For those, who prefer sub- surface lines you have the Circle, Hammersmith and city lines, district and Metropolitan. Metropolitan is manual I belive

However the core section on the Metropolitan is ATO so there is always the Picadilly line 1973 stock which is completely manual

I just think it could be something worth looking at. Appreciate most might think it's just operating doors and checking tickets but there is a lot more to it if they look into it more. But I'm probably very biased :D
