So there's this "sorry, I accidentally reported you, please DM this person to solve the problem" scam that I learned about like 10 minutes ago, and the ending to the attemt that happened to me was quite hilarious. Gentlemen, please stay safe and don't fall for this bullshard.
Looks pretty cheap and I didn't get anything like that myself however, I do get random friend requests on the Epic Games Launcher despite not using it for any social stuff or even having linked accounts (only having a somewhat known name). I promptly denied all of these but now I do wonder what they are.
That "sorry I accidentally reported you" trick was also used to hijack Steam accounts. I'm generally blocking anyone I don't know.
I find this trick pretty crazy, as one of them did genuinely spook me. Mainly as the scammer managed to hack into one of my old friend's discord account. Since I lost contact with them during that time, I had literally no way of knowing that their account was compromised/abandoned. Luckily, their profile had the name of someone who was completely unrelated in the Platform enforcement field.
