I’ll try this myself later but maybe someone else already did… In PS5 settings you can actually adjust the resolution between 4K and 1080p. If I force the console into HD instead of 4K would that improve FPS on some of the more intense routes for this game?
Correct, in general you'll notice a more consistent performing experience with less drops and such. This comes at the cost of clarity as due to the post-processing and render pipeline the game utilizes you'll see improved image quality at the 4k setting with a 1080p tv.
Interesting. I have a 4K tv so I tried dropping it to 1080p… right away I noticed my menus and icons didn’t look as good… but when I tried TSW2 in a frame intensive setting (London Victoria at 15:45) it seemed to look and perform the same as when I had the PS5 set to automatic resolution .
Hi Changing res on ps5 doesnt do nothing. Only if you in game options change 4k to HD (i think it this option that appears) you have some improvements.
This is correct for the most part, the PlayStation menu setting doesn't touch the internal resolution of games outside of some PS4 Pro titles, the only setting that do that are those presented in game like TSW does.
