I watched the stream of Livery Designer run by DTG Natster today building her forest on a train and I was wondering if putting lots of objects/layers into livery designer might affect performance of the game?

Does it render all the individual objects/layers or does it blend them into a single texture for in game use?

I believe it does compress all your individual layers into a single layer texture to be used in game. This sometimes results in a lower quality livery in the game. For some people it seems really bad, but I personally don't seem to have that issue too much.

It also seems to make cool colors, like blue, green, etc a lot lighter in the game than they appear in the livery editor.
