    So the UVs are gonna need to be changed for the 170 which means a bit of remoddeling the current mesh decals and changing main UV layout.
    The 170 is a troublesome model to repaint =P Example the doors for passengers are all one UV stacked.

    This will require a bit of planning to get right.

    Looking into a bit more and its a lot more complex than I thought it'd be.
    So I think I'll work on the models in blender and get them all textured and stuff, but reimporting them is gonna be a totally different question.

    Removed decal mesh and replacing with custom decal mesh.
    Was also able to use UEviewer to extract the vertex groups and skeleton.

    Currently working on gradients of the tracks that I've laid, so far its going well. Still have a lot of work on the Doncaster Depot area for gradients.

    And a few signals for a section of track I forgot about.

    I thought those were replaced with the class 158, they seriously can't be using those still.
    Though I suppose it's not the ones that the blackpool dlc uses, i remember those in the 90s.

    Ah yes I did forget to mention I don't currently live in south yorkshire, I live in kent. This route used to be my goto when I was younger and it's currently where my grandparents live so I wanted to recreate it =)

    I will be visiting in May so I'll be sure to get some refs and photos, as there are a few places along the lines that I need info for.

    It's mostly the signals and signs along some of the routes I need good photos of, I know there's a gantry signal next to hexthorpe park in doncaster that i should be able to get a photo of.

    What I'm having trouble with the most is the Doncaster bypass route which i can't seem to find any cabride or videos of going down, and the signals that come to and from the Tinsley Depot. And the route that branches off going south between meadowhall and rotherham.

    Though I think I'm going to redo the platforms I've made so far as the meshes I've made so far are not in the best workflow method, luckily I can use offset splines so it won't take to long.

    Decals would require a mesh overlay over the existing model which would require modifying the mesh.

    It’s reimporting the model that is problematic.

    M1 Motorway Bridge Blockout (Spline). Wasn't happy with the selection of roads that are already made so I made my own.
    I will be making my own roads for the most part as the ones that come with the game look off or lack detail.

    Sorry for no news, nothing to really report other than I've done most gradient work just need to go through miles of track to check if there's any problems.

    No new scenery or models made as of yet, been taking a break.

    No worries at all take your time and don't burn yourself out. Will be much better to be released in a stable working state than rushed and broken or abandoned due to burnout, what you've done so far looks fantastic!

    So up in area for the next two weeks to spent time with my nan and gather some photo refs.

    Was able to get a photo of the gantry signal from hexthorpe park.

    So it looks like they’ve laid down some tracks connecting some disused sidings for Colas trains, at doncaster station.

    Was able to find the signals at Tinsley as well, have over 179 photos of stations, trains and track scenery now.

    Currently going through adding missing signals and fighting with the editor trying to find out what's stopping trains at certain signals.

    Timetable keeps crapping up.

    Update: Figured something about signals, if you change it from an yard exit to a mainline or anything else the link needs to be moved to reset the track sections to fix the ai routing.

    Also figured out how the use the layering in timetable correctly, mostly DLC naming was throwing me off.

    Having major issues with signals and pathing not working properly, find deleting the problem signals and replacing them fixes some issues but there isn't anything in the debug that explains whats wrong.

    Also getting Stop off path issues on ai trains too on start, very fustrated with this right now.

    Update: Added more missing signals including fixing broken signals. Slowly troubleshooting the problems to make the pathfinding system have an easier time.

    Signal checking and route table organising, slowly turning signals from yellow to green (checked completed).

    Signal issues have mostly been fixed and test timetable is finishing correctly.

    Update: Back to square one with pathing issues, I'm really confused what's going on, will continue to work on signal route list.

    So it has resorted to deleting a large junction and tracks as the pathing issue seemed to be happening around that area.

    Currently rebuilding that section of the track to see if that fixes the weird pathing issues.

    Relaid and working on repathing now.


    Update: Finally fixed the problematic pathfinding, it was a mix of broken signals and signals not assigned to the track correctly. A lot of the path finding is functioning correctly now.

    With the station directory, is it possible to copy it to a different route? Say someone set up a master station directory with all UK stations (I know that's a lot of work), could that be used across all UK route projects?

    Yes and No.

    1. Yes you can copy the station directory to other routes to have a predefined station directory with city names.

    2. For the cities that are on the map in a specific route, you need to setup the track markers for every platform. These track markers persist only to the route/map, in which you create them.

    So, yes you can copy it and use the entries. However, for stations on your map, you need to setup track markers individually. You cannot reuse those from a different map.

    Major work done to the Doncaster Yards, track cleanup, signal fixing and placements. Destinations and Sidings placed and named as close as I can find information on.

    Also learning how to read the signal diagrams and real diagrams, so track pathing is gonna be interesting =)

    I'm very excited for the community routes. Because sometimes, companies like DTG and Rivet do poor quality routes for cash grabs. And since the community knows the difference between good and bad routes, they will make good quality routes. I have a lot of faith in the community routes like this.

    No idea, i want to get the ai timetable fully operational first before I even get to release an alpha, right not I'm working on some track gradients I've missed and working on signals setup, it's taking time pathing each signals routes.

    And right now I can't even cook the addon anyway, I'll way for official cooking is working again before thinking of releasing an alpha build. The alpha will probably be finished in track related stuff, probably some blockouts of buildings etc.

    Slowly correcting signals and fixing pathing issues, fully working timetable after a lot of work.
    Its slow work and a lot of signals are to go in terms of pathing and rules.

    I swear to god this path finding is broken half the time, change one signal and some how breaks a signal half way across the map.

    Update: So after looking at some official maps, I see I may have missed something regarding routing.

    If not set to -1 it will be treated as an automatic signal. Luckily I have a diagram with all signals which should be automatic and not.

    Further more the ones I'm updating are the ones that keep breaking, curious.

    Going through signals again to change the Doncaster signals to the modern versions, the DLC uses the old types which aren't really used much anymore.

    So it's still behaving badly with signals, sometimes it works a lot of the times it doesn't.

    All doncaster signals are now updated to the current day signals.

    Currently setting up the main timetable now, gonna sort issues along the way.
    The test timetable will be used for maintenance and debugging related stuff, checking tracks etc.
