Might we all know that this is among us. And guessing the timestamp it is on it way. Sooner or later we will be getting a whole new format of this simulator. Plus having to re-download your whole collection again which will take hours to complete. That if you have the full collection. It would be a good idea to make TSW-X. And call it the end of yearly new content. As mentioned many of us are tired of having to re-download all these DLC. new comers would just hsve to do what the existing players do. I mean come on do you guys actually like having to re-download your dlc every time a new full TSW come out. I think ppl will be ready to play but again hour of wait for the download to complete. I know they have potential to pull off just making a final sim and build that up for years to come. I guaranteed this would make a perfect simulator. But then again money come first then the consumers. Screw everything else. I may add the free starter pack is very reasonable for the upcoming new simulator in the near future just last the recent one we just had. But then again it would be good to call this TSW-X to called it the end of yearly copies of new simulator. But check this out. They can pull off free starter pack for new comer every year or when ever they feel to. But stop making yearly copy of TSW. They can still make profit by pulling off the free starter pack. Just adding new content on the same sim. I’m just saying.
you dont have to pose a new thread saying this, please move to "enough is enough" or you can stay your conversation on "Tsw6, Tsw7 , Tsw8 What Is It Need For?" I believe others will agree with your point
There are other issues to contend with when there is a new issue of the game coming. Like new features that don't work well at first (e.g. the live map) and new core issues to iron out. Having to redownload stuff is inconvenient, but not nearly the biggest problem when getting a new edition of the game.
We all know that DTG is only going to do annual releases now, no one will be surprised when TSW 6 comes out in September like its two predecessors and TSW 7 in September 2026 , 8 in September 2027 etc...
We are on a forum, we can discuss anything as long as it is related to TSW even from the future of TSW
The point is so DTG remain aware of the annual chaos just for a new number added to the title and the ridiculous effort needed by us to download all DLC again. Also DTG must never be allowed to forget the repulsive paid firewall sales model that new releases of TSW previously imposed on us customers. The yearly paid updates caused many people to refuse to buy ANYTHING from a company that treated customers in such a callous manner. If TSW6 does not come out as a free update/starter pack like TSW5 then I predict all hell to break loose in the community and I will be among those who will very angry and stop giving them any money. Now here is a suggestion... How about DTG create a new core program (maybe called TSW6) and it contains the code for BOTH TSW5 and TSW6. DTG can then update older DLC at leisure and user installations can automatically download the latest version as it is released. A user would have DLC of either TSW5 or TSW6 standard (not both) in the same installation and it would update by itself to the later DLC version when released. All that would be required by the DLC is a version ID and the core would use the corresponding runtime code already installed in the new dual version program core. Just a flight of fancy but if possible it would spread the DLC updates over a period of time which would be better for users and probably less pressure on the teams at DTG who could concentrate on individual routes instead of having to update the entire DLC library before the new TSW version is released.
Can’t wait for them to announce this, “we are not longer doing diesel trains or trains pre 2015 as it would take too much effort and they didn’t sell well like the previously discounted steam train content”, this is a joke and to also point out how dumb their decision to cut steam content was.
