I have some buying to do in the near future. But since the store has been closed for almost a year now it seems the renavation is not going as planned and the store is closed . . . . or should I wait a few more weeks ? There also seems to be an in-game Dovetail Store, is that a good alternative ?
The Dovetail store is effectively closed. It didn’t work that well when it was open. All it did is give you Steam Keys, so you just as well off buying direct from Steam, especially during a sale.
this has not been confirmed by DTG so i wouldnt speculate on such things without you having a source. The store was VERY popular with people as it had its own sales away from steam.
Also had some good weekly offers. Bought plenty when it was open. But it did have occasional problems. Would be good to hear from DTG whether it has finally died or not.
