Dear TSW4 community, The DLC Nahverkehr Dresden has been available in TSW4 for a long time - one of the most popular routes. Here you can discuss an expansion of the DLC. I have received requests from many friends and acquaintances that they would like two route expansions for this DLC. I'll start with the section to Dresden Airport, which was theoretically announced by DTG in 2021, but was not implemented despite considerable progress in construction. They also want the southern end of the S1 from Dresden to Schöna. I think this route is very beautiful, especially in terms of the landscape, and I know it from the original. That's why I also want these two routes. This means that the S1 and S2 can be driven completely and the DLC would become even more attractive. That's why I'm asking for your support so that we can convince the DTG developers that these two sections of the route will be realized in the near future. LG Nico
The Dresden Airport branch is a bummer. Because it is actually in the game, far as the rails go, but not fully developed. There were discussions, as the airport station is subsurface and would definitely add a nice touch to this already extensive map (I love maps with branches and variety of services), but as DTG said themselves, they are not and won't finish this branch in the future. Never say never, with maps like Southeastern Highspeed, maybe Dresden will return extended in TSW 5 or 6
The second section is the Elbtalbahn which runs through Schöna to Decin if DTG gets an ÖBB old name KkStb map of it Decin is spelt out as Bodenbach.
This makes absolutely no sense to me. Why go through all the effort of laying down the track and even putting down the platforms if you're not going to do anything with it. Half the work is already done. Atleast with the Meissen branch it was added a few weeks later
Dtg announced rush hour too early and there realized during development they didn't have the budget or resources to do what they originally planned. The whole project was even delayed and the price had to be increased. The airport section required light baking because of the tunnels which means months of work and dtg had to release the dlc eventually or risk not releasing it at all. Meissen was mostly complete to begin with and developers just finished it
Die Gleise existieren bereits bis zum Flughafen. Es fehlen nur noch die Oberleitungen und Signalanlagen oder die Fertigstellung der Landschaft hinter dem Dresdner Industriegelände. Insgesamt ist der Baufortschritt sehr weit fortgeschritten, daher bin ich der Meinung, dass dieser kurze Streckenabschnitt durchaus geliefert werden kann, wie es DTG 2021 angekündigt hatte.
I want to see the line via Friedrichstadt instead of the one to Schöna, so that we could drive to Coswig on the RB31 while avoiding the mainline. I would also like to see the implementation of the already existing Zeithain station on the RB45, just outside of Riesa.
I'd like to see this too, it's a lovely scenic route - I'd go from further than Schona, to Decin or even Usti. A Czech Railjet and EC coaches could run the services.
