The Riesa - Dresden route has most of the track layed out for the Dresden Flughafen branch and would it be worth it to actually finish that branch or would it just be a waste of assets to leave it behind. Also it would be nice to have it extended from Riesa to Leipzig to add the ICE-T as a loco addon.
The flughafen branch isn't that long and it is mostly tunnel so would cost a lot of time to bake the light. And convincing people to pay for it is going to be really difficult cuz "it should have come as a free update." So for a money to value perspective, it wouldn't be a good dlc. It could come with a loco dlc, but that's highly unlikely. Riesa to leipzig would be its own route. The icet could be a part of that and replace the services on dra.
yes but dtg must add the BR 411 and br 415 on the route is the same train only the 415 have 5 coaches and some small differences on the outside otherwise the rest is same why is really cool to add the 415 because in real life for the ICE from Franfkurt to Leipzig via Dresden there are 12 services per day and 6 are only do with a BR 411 (7 coaches) and the rest do with BR 411 couple with a BR 415
Is the route even stable yet for all players? It has always been a bit too much to handle and thus not a candidate for making bigger and certainly not one for adding any more trains to it. TSW routes can’t handle more and more trains being added as they all take up a lot of resources. Technical limitations I’m afraid.
Dresden Flughafen: DTG planned to include it in the base route but took it out along with Meissen, but then you can argue that Meissen was put back in to the route, I don't know if DTG are still working on it Extension to Leipzig: Riesa-Leipzig probably won't come to TSW because Dresden-Riesa is enough for TSW at the moment, maybe DTG are planning an extension for future TSW titles
The meissen branch was created by employees outside of dtg and it was basically mostly done on release day. The main thing that held flughafen back was the light baking in the tunnels which matt said would have taken a while and missed the release date completely. An extension probably won't happen but it might come as a future route that could give an opportunity for the icet to come
My point is that Meissen managed to get added and surely Flughafen can get added in the future like Meissen was
To be honest, I got the full version of the route from Dresden to Leipzig in TSC and you're not really missing much. Just more rolling German plains, fairly straight, not many gradients. In short quite boring. There are better and more interesting parts of Germany DTG should be turning their attention to (IMHO).
