Sorry if this has been suggested previously but worth mentioning as a possible QOL change. Can we please have the option to remove the cab mask when driving, similar to the Shift-1 function in MSTS and Open Rails. This would be particularly beneficial on traction units with narrow restricted vision such as the 377 on ECW which will also be the default train on London to Brighton along with the similar 387. Worst possible view for seeing any scenery.

I don't quite understand what you mean with 'cab mask'. Any way you could show with some screenshots perhaps?

I mean actual cab interior is removed leaving an unobstructed forward view, just the HUD elements on the screen. Fire up a drive in MSTS or Open Rails, press Shift-1 and you’ll see what I mean. Can’t post a screenshot ATM as not near the gaming PC.

You could use an external camera and move the camera right to the front of the train? Or isn't that what you'd want?

I don't have MSTS or Open Rails, so I'm not familiar with the Shift-1 fuction.

You can use the "3" camera and put it in front of your train.

I believe you can not just disable the cab as technically a part of the whole train, while in old games it was used to be more like a texture?

Yes I suppose all the old games did was remove the texture, might be more challenging with a 3D environment. I will give the 3 key a try as suggested albeit a workaround rather than asolution.
