You don't want to apply too much power at once, otherwise you lose the engine. If you do from the loco end, throttle to 0, wait for amps to fall to 0, close mcb and reapply power.

As for driving the 110. There is a gauge that shows the power output. If it goes to 65, it is considered full throttle and overloads the engine. So you want to keep it at around 60%. So you increase the notches slowly and make sure it does not reach 65 or above. Each notch will apply different amounts of power, so don't go straight to like notch whatever for instance. And then you just keep on increasing the notch while paying attention to the power gauge so you don't apply too much.

Similar concept to the cab car. There is a gauge and you don't want that to go over 2 I believe. It's like a gauge in front of you towards the right or something. Don't have a picture or anything. Same story. If you overload engine, throttle off, amps to 0, close the mcb and reapply. You might have to close and open mcb a couple of times. Sometimes doesn't always respond.

The straight line to the base is not a good idea with this train :)

Gradually increase the power of the Taps and remember this is not like the Deutsche Bahn Baureihe 155 Deutsche Reichsbahn Baureihe 250 where you can simply do directly from tap 1-2 then all the way to max power 28-30. Do that on DB Baureihe 110.3 Einheitselok you will simply lose power and had to restart again.
