Just seen on socials that DTG spent the day at East Lancs Railway with numerous pictures of the Union of South Africa. Are we getting an A4 on TSW perhaps and this was a sound recording day.

What route would you like to see this loco on?

I thought there was supposed to be a livestream from there this afternoon, but I didn't see anything.

The livestream did happen at around or just after 2pm. It was a short stream and all done through a phone.

As said above, it ain't much (nearly 20 mins long) and was only showed on YouTube. But the West Country Class was at the station before departing.

Although not a fan of the 25 MPH grind of heritage railways, I would make an exception for the East Lancs!

Thanks. I was at work. I was expecting to see a twitch VOD when I got home.

The route would be good. Only under 15 miles but they could do a package with some other small heritage routes like KWVR and SVR

Quite short. I assume the speed limit though is low though

As with most UK heritage lines, 25 MPH with frequent lower restrictions for crossings and station loops.

Sorry OV, I meant to type under 15miles Heywood to Rawtenstall. Still a short route for TSW2, which was the point I was making.

If we was getting another preserved Line DLC, Id expect it to be a bundle of 3 or 4 separate preserved railways.

DJs and Jamie’s visit to the ELR may have nothing to do with a future loco or route for TSW2 as the ELR were celebrating the 100th merger of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway and the LNWR last week, when they had three 100+ year old locos, including the newly restored Pug-19 and the ex-London & North Western Railway ‘Coal Tank’ No. 1054.
