I'm going to keep it simple and give you the numbers and short reasons. I'm not going to bore you with a big essay. I have also created concept art which I have attached.

Dublin Area Rapid Transit: Greystones - Malahide:
    • 36.4mi (58.5km)
    • Class 8300 EMU DART (Stopping)
    • Class 29000 DMU Commuter (Semi-Express)
    • Busy City Traffic (6 DARTS an hour E/D)
    • Coastal Scenery North and South of Dublin.
    • Landsdowne Road (Aviva Stadium) - Scenario Opportunities
    • FIRST IRISH ROUTE!
    • Capital City
    • 31 Pretty stations, some are incredibly similar to.others making it easy to copy.
    • Great help from friendly staff at Irish Rail.
That's all, it's a great route and would be a fantastic first Irish Route. Images below: The 2 trains shown respectively and my concept art for this route: *IMAGE 4 WAS CREATED BY ARTIFICAL INTELLIGENCE USING A REAL IMAGE*

I was thinking that but better to think realistic so DTG actually consider it. I live in Lusk so I'd love for it to go further. But I feel like DART would be wanted more
