Greetings ladies and Gentlemen, Today I will be requesting the Route that runs from Dublin (Capital of The republic of Ireland) to Waterford, a nice coastal city sitting on the bottom of Ireland. Since we half longer routes now i won’t hold back. Introduction:… For starters this route starts in The East coast capital of Ireland being Dublin It leaves from Dublin Heuston station and runs down south for About 2h and 16mins and has a max speed of 100mph mainly between Heuston and Hazelhatch and Celbridge. This track is mainly single track (starting after leaving the mainline at Kildare) and only becoming double track when at a station (ex. Thomastown) this distance is approx 164.5km or 102 Miles long Then arriving into the Southern Termini station of Waterford Plunkett which has connecting services to Limerick, Cork and Formerly Wexford. This service being operated by Iarnród Éireann (Irish Rail) only has one passenger operator on this line being: Rolling Stock:… The class 22000 “Intercity” DMU Capable of 161km/h (100mph) usually found on nearly every route. (It being the only train found on every (main)line) it is found in 3,4,5 Car formations but on this specific line it is usually found in 4 car, 5 car and 6 car(3+3) formations on the 5 car set it does have a Premier class ultimately being the same as standard but with more comfortable seats, a lamp and Free onboard tea and snacks. Fun Fact: 5 of these trains were fitted with DSD and AWS for Dublin(ROI) to Belfast(UK services) if the Enterprise trains were ever to fail or not have an available train. It is also the traiin in my pfp 2. Since frieght does run on this line we will add the class 071 Loco for freight hauling. It has a max speed of 90mph (145km/h) and is found on every mainline hauling frieght it is also found hauling rail tours from Time to time Stations: Starting from Heuston This line has 14 Stations on this line being: 1. Dublin Heuston 2. Park west Cherry Orchard 3. Clondalkin & Fonthill 4. Adamstown 5. Hazelhatch & Celbridge 6. Sallins & Naas 7. Newbridge 8. Kildare (Major Interchange) 9. Athy- In Kildare 10. Muine Bheag - Mewna Veeug (Bagnelstown) A small town in Carlow 11.5: Kilkenny triangle this isn’t a train station this is a triangle where freight trains pass so they don’t have to go into Kilkenny terminal -can’t find a picture on google but you can see it in google maps- 12. Kilkenny Mcdonagh This station is a terminus so trains must enter this station and since it is mainly single track they must wait five mins for the train heading from the opposite direction to pull in so they can leave. But if there is none then they are free to depart the station (there was a war memorial) 13. Thomastown - this is a single platform station 14.
