The Dudding Hill Line on it's own is only 4 miles long, with the branch from Southall to Brentford being 2 miles long, West Drayton to Thorney Mill is 3 miles long, with the section between Langley and Acton Main line being 12 miles long, giving a total length of 21 miles. Something which I also believe would be a worthwhile inclusion is the line from West Ealing to West Ruislip, which is used by the Greenford shuttle along with multiple freight trains, including trains from Northolt waste Centre and Calvert. This would mean the final length of the route would be 35 miles. Proposed Rolling Stock Class 165 in Great Western Railway livery Operates the Greenford Shuttle, and would also run local services along the section of the GWML included. Class 66 in EWS, DB Schenker, GB Railfreight AND Freightliner livery The Class 66 would be in charge of all freight along this route, with much of it passing through Acton Yard. A list of wagons is included below JNA wagons These type of wagons are used by GBRf on their stone trains out of Thorney Mill to Newhaven. KFA ‘Binliner’ Wagons As the name would suggest, these are used on services from Calvert and Northolt to distribute waste to other places. FSA & IKA container wagons These wagons are used on the majority of container traffic these days, and would be used on those services in addition to populating Willesden & Acton Yards. JHA wagons These wagons are used on services out of the aggregates terminals at West Drayton & Cricklewood.
What a fantastic suggestion. These little known branches are very interesting for lovers of freight services. Please let us have these DTG.
Great suggestion! It sounds as an chill diesel network line with the lovely class 66 action! the 165 can be used (layered then) in GWE to add more services to the timetable, only if it would come obviously!
