OK, there are a lot of TSW threads in this “Off Topic” forum so I’m going to get back on topic by going off topic. Whilst I wish the Duke of Edinburgh well, I would like to ask why Prince Charles is allowed to visit his father in hospital whereas, when my 87 year old mother had two spells in hospital recently following falls, I was allowed nowhere near her? One rule for the rich, one for the poor?
Well it’s ‘off topic’ on a train sim forum, you’ll find that people having conversations here have a common interest to discuss, not that I’m saying you shouldn’t talk about anything that isn’t trains, but people aren’t going to come here explicitly to discuss politics for example. With that said, yes it is one rule for the rich and another for the poor, it’s the way it’s always been, and probably always will be. As for covid, say what you will about people breaking and bending rules, but regardless of any guidelines or rules, I wouldn’t take the risk of exposing older members of my family unless absolutely necessary. Hope your family stays safe.
Generally, important people get privileges because they are more important than regular folk like us. Prince Charles is also vaccinated, but you might be as well.
Ah right. I’m 37 but got it because of underlying health issues. Got to have the second dose in 4-12 weeks.
Hope you have a good experience! I had mine earlier this week and felt pretty rough the day after. All good now, and worth it in the long run
