Also, if the T&W Metro goes as far as Newcastle Central, then it would allow for players to change between underground and overground platforms, a first for TSW2. Credit to trainsimplayer for the last bit on the final words section!
a good part of this traverses a chunk of Tees valley line and a good chunk that is which is in TSW already so it might be better to have it start at Eaglescliffe or have it be an Extension of TVL when they work out making route extensions work
Like it and would purchase it if it was a DLC for TSW. Can I presume if it is released then it would be for TSW2.
Also why not recreate the Section into Newcastle Central on the Tyne and Wear as well? Underground for a bit, so not too much scenery, not that long, adds an opportunity for you to have arrived from Darlington, wander downstairs and get the Metro to Sunderland.
This seems like a great way to incorporate the Durham coastline into making it interesting for TSW perhaps the 156 and 180 could come as standard and the 142 could be used as the dlc, this would allow for sort of express and regional services without over burdening a rather lengthy route at this time with 3 loco’s if the Tyne and Wear metro ever comes to TSW it would make this route perfect for if routes are able to ever join together This suggestion would also allow the North east to have another area covered and quite a large one (Tees to Tyne) with variations from inland (I believe mainline at Darlington) to coastal then into underground
For me, it depends what era the route is set in. If it's set in the same era as TVL, starting at Eaglescliffe and treating it like an extension would work. However if it's set in the modern day I think the full route to Darlington would be best, and most of the trackwork is already there, it's going to be a bit of extra work for the new scenery
I don't think there are any DCL services left that continue to Darlington, or does the Hartlepool - Darlo sunday service still run? I think it'd be better placed to end at Eaglescliffe for changing over for freight and GC - theres quite a few coal/biomass trains ran with GBRf Class 66s and 60s, as well as a cement train from Seaham with Colas Class 70s. I'd definitely support this route (if you've seen some of my posts, you'll already know that )
