I might be a bit biased because I live near this line, but I think it would be a really cool addition to the game. There would be three different passenger services on this line. (and freight services are also possible) - Intercity from Utrecht to Zwolle (Express Service) Rolling Stock: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NS_Intercity_Materieel ICMm (Refurbished): An iconic train in the Netherlands, the driver sits really high up because it used to be possible to walk all the way through the connected trains. Route: 87 km long. Only stops once at Amersfoort, Uses the Intercity tracks out of Utrecht CS (Biggest transport hub in the Netherlands) and rides over a flyover at 140 kph back to the main line (3:45) which goes through a forest, past a former Cold war US Air Force Base, and past other military terrain to Amersfoort (a lot of freight cars with APCs can be seen here regularly, so maybe an idea for the freight line?) After Amersfoort the train doesn't stop until the (in game) final station: Zwolle. Cab ride: (It usually doesn't slow down at 5:00) -Sprinter from Utrecht to Zwolle (Local Service) Rolling Stock: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sprinter_New_Generation These will enter service sometime this year Route: 87 km long. Uses the local track out of Utrecht CS. The line crosses another line (5:35) which is pretty rare I think. The rest of the route is the same as the Intercity line, but the local service stops 18 times between Utrecht and Zwolle. Cab ride: -Sprinter from Utrecht to Baarn (Local Service) Rolling Stock: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NS_SGMm Since we probably wont get 3 trains.. The Sprinter New Generation will also run on this line sometimes, so it wouldn't be too weird to see it on this line too. (It will probably even replace the SGMm at some point in the near future) Route: 22 km long. Uses the same route as the Sprinter to Zwolle until the third stop. After that the line switches to a single track line (14:40) This line goes straight through the town of Soest which has 3 stations (limit: 40 kph for the bit through the town) After Soest the single track railroad joins the line that runs from Amersfoort-Amsterdam to the last stop of the service: Baarn.
