Hi all, I have a suggestion 2 routes from the Netherlands. Leeuwarden - Den Haag CS Stations - Intercity Service: (Leeuwarden-Heerenveen-Steenwijk-Meppel-Zwolle-Lelystad Centrum-Almere Centrum-Amsterdam Zuid-Schiphol Airport-Leiden Centraal-Den Haag Centraal) 2: Groningen-Rotterdam Centraal Stations - Intercity Service: (Groningen-Assen-Zwolle-Amersfoort Centraal-Utrecht Centraal-Gouda-Rotterdam Alexander-Rotterdam Centraal) let me know what you all think
Partly covered by the next suggestions: Hoofddorp - Lelystad Rotterdam - Utrecht Amsterdam - Rotterdam Utrecht - Zwolle There are suggestions, but it is still waiting for some reaction from the TSW creators. And routes can't be too long. The longer the route, the more expensive the route will be and how much longer it will take until the release moment.
I'd expect a border route to come first. Arhnem - Oberhausen or Köln Hbf - Mönchengladbach - Venlo sounds logical. Although living near Utrecht I'd love to see Amsterdam - Arnhem put in. the Utrecht - Amsterdam bit seems a bit too busy for DTG plus it will be so empty if they only release one dutch train for the first release. The dutch railway system is very compact and it would really benefit from actual branches or like DRA having two lines to go from A to B. I hope they find someone with enough knowledge of the railway to help them make it work. I know TSC has pretty much the entire country in already.
Bring It On To The game speaking of this one this one can be combined with the international extension of BRO the 129km GRO Groningen Oldenburg Hbf even better Bremen Oldenburg Leer (Ostf) Groningen 173km
Maybe the route Utrecht - Venlo and a small train to Germany, and the trains like the GTW and the FLIRT, but also the 2400
Even better Utrecht Venlo Mönchengladbach Neuss Düsseldorf Wuppertal Steinbeck effectively making RRO Hagen Venlo. If you want to do the shortcut method it's something like this HDBU the expanded Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr with the international section added to it Hollandstrecke Duisburg/Bochum Utrecht. then build Hauptstrecke Dortmund/Bochum Hagen by squeezing many trains as possible around Bochum Langendreer & Witten Hbf.
I like the idea you pitch every time of hollandstrecke. but it's already 150 km from Utrecht over Arnhem to Oberhausen.160 km from Utrecht over Venlo to Mönchengladbach. So from Utrecht cartesiusweg to Hagen you are looking at 250 km where about 40% is densely populated. The top line is my idea and the bottom yours. although I'd love to drive a train through that bit although there are none that drive the whole area you want since freight goes over Arnhem out of germany and Mönchengladbach is a turnaround there. you can drive the NJ 40421 from Mönchengladbach to Utrecht with a vectron. I was interested so there you go. that is the long and unreal part of your idea. I wish but I sincerely doubt it's possible in the coming 5 years. I refuse to add the S-bahn line in Hagen - Wuppertal or connect it to your Hagen - Duisburg - Düsseldorf too. I suspect that will make about 330km. I suspect that takes a whole 10 minutes to load a journey. run at 15fps and console players will have a toaster as they game. I do respect your ideas and I wish it were possible. I'd say cutting them in 2 or three different routes is more realistic. I think the average route in TSW is just under 100 km since they are making longer ones now.
Would love to see a Dutch route, but preferably one with the iconic NS trains that can be seen throughout the country.
agreed. I think there is a lot possible in the country. some different operations too to bring a lot of diversity. hope to see it ingame one day
If you want to know the distance between Duisburg Hbf & Utrecht Centraal 156 km although merging it with Hauptstrecke Rhein Ruhr 202 km. The first one is doable although you are going to need the following trains DB Baureihe 1429/1427 tri voltage DB Baureihe 189 DB Baureihe 408.
I hope it is. I travel it myself by ICE to frankfurt pretty often. but I think 202 KM is a bit much for DTG. 156 might be pushing the limit but doable.
202km (125.5 mi) is Duisburg Utrecht merged with HRR 46 km (28.5 mi). Standalone Duisburg Utrecht is 96.9 mi 156 km. Complexities is the Emmerich am Rhein to Zevenaar section 25kv 50hz to 15kv 16.7hz and 1.5kv DC. Trains here use a Metalized Carbon strip for all three voltages. Meaning the Voltage change hint must appear
I strongly second a Dutch Route. My fav would be Amsterdam-Rotterdam as non-linear with the Oude Lijn branch (via Haarlem), the Hoofdorp-Leiden branch and the HSL Zuid. Trains could/should include: Koploper!!! is a must VIRM SNG/SLT BR 186 ICdirect ICNG (as DLC?) Eurostar TGV and the iconic Class 1700!!!!
