Hi, I hadn't used TSW2 in a while, but I do have over 300 hours in it. When I went to use it today, I found out the hard way that the Dynamic Braking in the SD40 I was driving no longer works. Maybe when Sand Patch Grade was updated for TSW3 you broke it in TSW2? The last time I used TSW2, it was right when TSW3 had only just come out, and the SD40 Dynamic Brakes worked just fine then. Now, the sounds are all screwed up and once you get it "setup", you can't move the throttle lever with either your mouse, or the keyboard. wth? Please figure this one out. I've already verified my TSW2 files through Steam, and no luck there. I do plan on getting TSW3, also. I missed the window to upgrade, darnit, so I'll have to wait to save up for the package next month. Just because you put out a new version, please don't abandonware TrainSimWorld2.
I was just describing the situation. I've put in over 300 hours into Sand Patch Grade, up one side and down the other. The Dynamic Brakes used to work. Now, while the guage still indicate the sytem works, the sounds are all braking engine sounds are screwed up and Dynamic Brakes no longer have any impact on the speed of the train. And yes, I also double checked the two locomotives in the rear of the coal train to make sure the radio link was configured, turned on, and brake stands were set correctly. No luck there, either.
Okay, I've discovered my issues go far beyond just Dynamic Braking. This past year, I upgraded from a GTX1060 video card to an AMD RX6800 16Gig. TSW2 is now crashing even in freeroam, too. Appearently it's an Unreal Engine issue, as that's flagged everywhere in the automatic error reporting utility. I guess I'll have to re-install this thing from scratch to fix it. Could someone please point me in the direction of the instructions to remove and delete TSW2 Steam edition and reinstall it? If I have to lose my saved files to fix it, that's fine. What puzzles me the most is I have other Steam games that use Unreal Engine and other vulkan and directx dependencies that still run just fine. Like, for example, UBOAT, Flight Simulator X and GTAIV and they all still work without errors. Outside of Steam, I run X-Plane 11 and X-Plane 12, and TitanicHG Project 401v2 and they still work just fine and they are far more burdensome than TSW2. Any assistance would be appreciated.} Regarding my original post about the Dynamic Braking, while I did get that to work the second time tried "Cumberland Charge", at least the braking portion of it, the sounds of Dynamic Braking are all screwed up. All I get for a sound is VERY LOUD WIND! I know what it's supposed to sound like because I've done this before. It's supposed to sound like the Dynamic Braking sounds you hear the NealTV8 youtube video of "Cumberland Charge". That's not what I hear.
