Hello, I’m doing my first run in the NJT cab car and moving the power leaver into the braking range doesn’t seem to anything, is there another step needed to get this working. Anything to avoid much use of the non self lapping airbrake system on the NJT trains
There are no motors on the cab car, so the dynamic brake section does nothing at all. It's just got one because it's a single standard part the same as the one on the ALP46 - makes life easier for them I guess But no - confirmed with engineers, the dynamic brake section does nothing on the cab car. You WILL get dynamic brakes from the loco just by applying air as normal, you'll feel the dynamic blending kick in automatically with a bit more braking being applied a few moments after you apply your air brakes though, you just can't control them independently. Matt.
Ahh ok, makes sense. Thanks for the quick response Matt! This cab car might actually be the trickiest to drive of all the new DLC, will need to practice!
