One feature that was incredibly hyped by Dovetail was dynamic weather, Dynamic Weather is a great feature but when I decided to drive it wasn't really as good as I hoped.

A problem I had was the fact that it started snowing heavily when I was driving in September on SKW. By the time I got to Fulda the snow was almost covering the tracks.

I was thinking the whole time that I might have accidentally set it to December or January but I'm sure I had it set to the default September.

How to fix this issue: Have different weathers be more likely at certain times of the year, for example snow will only show during December/January/February. Rain will be less likely during June, July and August.

It seems as if a very realistic feature has now become unrealistic... :(

Well, it snowed heavily in May, here in the UK, many years ago...

I think the problem here is, that it starts to snow in game when the temperature gets below 0°C. The thing is, that the September already counts as autumn. I think the reason that it snowed was, that in autumn it can already get really cold. To prevent this problem I would suggest to try again on a run in a classical summer month; e.g. July or August

There are 4 seasonal 'behaviours' for Dynamic Weather, Winter/Spring/Summer/Autumn, and whilst the weather is random, there are increased likelihoods of getting certain weather in certain seasons (more sun in summer, more snow in winter, etc.)

I will check though, as snow shouldn't materialise unless the temperature drops down to near-freezing.

dosto762 can you give me your exact settings you used so i can reproduce the issue here and either explain it, or get someone to take a look and fix it please?

Which loco, which weather settings, exact date, which service - I think that's all I need.

    Thanks!

I also found a bug. I travel with Class 395 in the rain, but the train is dry. Rain does not show on the windshield. The game works on PS5.

Hmm I just tried it and it remained raining however the build i'm using a little further on than the release build. I will ask the team and see if its something resolved or if i'm just a victim of random numbers not letting me reproduce the issue :)

I will keep digging until I know :)
