When you gave us dynamic weather, i was glad, it didn't work in journey mode (because that's the only mode i play). But now it is ruining my whole Antelope Valley Line Journey. Every single ride starts with sun and turns into thunderstorm in 5 - 10 minutes. It kills fun and immersion completely. Actually it is overdue for you to change dynamic weather so it doesn't only contain of sun turning into thunderstorm after few minutes. But that's not enough for me. Please give me the option to turn dynamic weather completely of. There must be a way for me to end the ride in that weather, i started it!
And the annoying thing is, it never changes back to sunshine or at least just cloudy and overcast. Also it doesn’t absolutely need to spawn a thunderstorm every single time. The random dice roll needs to give much less chance of that happening, more so on routes set in arid locations.
This hits it on the nail, I think dynamic weather is a little depressed. Also, everytime there's thunder it feels like Zeus himself is trying to strike me down with how close those thunderbolts are.
But since he's talking about Journey mode, does randomness apply? I'm thinking that, like everything else in Journey mode, this is a programmed weather event.
As a weather fanatic, the dynamic weather option was a great idea for Timetable mode but the thunderstorm every time it starts raining is just stupid and needs sorting asap. In the UK we rarely get thunderstorms outside of April to September and even then areas of the UK, especially the north and west, can go all year without hearing thunder. It's an error I'd expect if DTG weren't based in the UK.
In every other journey i own, the weather is programmed and stays the whole ride. Which is totally okay for me, most rides take 45 - 60 minutes so it's absolutely realistic. But Antelope Valley Line is the first journey where weather changes during the ride. And for me, that's really annoying.
This so reminds me of RDR2. really annoyed me with the weather going from a Sunny day with no clouds to suddenly peeing rain with thunder and lightning within seconds. TSW is quite similar. I don’t use the Dynamic weather option. I just choose whatever time and weather I want. Something that could do with a tweak.
