So steam players are the only one that can access there backwards compatible catalog for early access. Is Xbox PlayStation and Pc are they left out for the early access backwards compatible catalog. I mean I know those of you that buy the deluxe and special editions will have access to the 5 days early promotion but left out on the backwards compatible catalog. If I’m not mistaken. Can anyone correct me on this. Or do I have that right.
If you’re on steam, you will have access to your previous TSW Content from the early release date. On console your previous content will only become available on official release day
I think it’s a console / platform issue rather than a DTG decision. There’s plenty to keep you occupied for those 5 days though
I quote "I think it’s a console / platform issue". Why would it be a Sony issue? I don't see what would be the problem with adding the entire catalog in early access. I think it's rather a having to fill in forms twice issue
Why would it not be a Sony issue? I mean consoles are extremely restrictive and just actually suck in general for this type of thing, I see it very likely to be a console issue. Steam is simply a whole lot easier to do stuff in terms of releases. It's quite ridiculous to think otherwise.
If I've understood correctly the Overground and route will layer on in early access to allow the 710? But outside of that it'll be the 17th for consoles.
Not sure about Overground, and Bakerloo won’t be layering as the 72 stock is included as part of the WCML Route
Just edited my previous post as I remembered it was included! Hopefully it will be, as the special edition includes the Overground route from day one anyway.
Your previous content will be available from day 1 of early access on console. Merely leave your copy of TSW4 installed and you can play it merrily to your heart’s delight. Then on official release day, delete it all and go through all the rigmarole of installing it all again on TSW 5. Such joy!
Ah. I didn’t get the special edition. The only route from special addition I don’t have is NYT. Not worth paying £104 for that + the new routes!
Technically true but I think you missed the intended point of the original question. Besides not everyone is able to have 2 copies of TSW Installed Simultaneously
I agree. I have ordered deluxe for myself as I practically own every British route that could layer on. It's worth it if you're a complete newbie to the game, but a seasoned nerd like myself has everything and wants the Pendolino ASAP!
A question for anyone who may happen to know: I see that since TSW5 appeared on the Steam store that I now have the TSW5 versions of my owned add-ons in my library and ready to go. However, between now and TSW5's release, can I still purchase add-ons for TSW4 and still also get the TSW5 version or did that time run out when it all got listed on Steam?
