Feature Earning Money In Game To Buy Something

Very happy to see more reailsm in TSW4, So here one idea to make it more realistic. In some station there are bars and water distributors (ECML) it wuold be great if there are the capacity to earn money as real drivers and spend it in various thing to buy such as bottle of water, food or souvenirs. Add photo to understand what i mean

 

So a simulator about driving trains, where you play shop?

I think there are more pertinent issues to sort than implementing some sort of in game currency system. It’s not Hay Day or Transport Tycoon.l

Do you mean train manager mode? Well you should really try Transport Fever 2 for that!

 

DTG would be a lot more focused on creating new DLCs than adding and in-game currency system + there would be lots of issues as you would need to convert money a lot and things cost diffrent amounts of money in diffrent places. You should probably instead just earn a cosmetic for your player like glasses or something.

 

I would like to see this. Not for souvenirs, but for loco and route DLCs. It just doesn't make sense to game for hours, without getting something back. The AP could be used to get new locos and routes. Similar to Forza Horizon 5 with their CR, you earn it and buy stuff with it.

 

I would hate to see this in the game. Much as I hate medals, collectibles and achievements. I don’t think any of them have a place in a ‘Simulation’.

 

At the end of the day there are plenty of discounts on DLC anyway (apart from Xbox!) if you are prepared to be patient and wait for a sale. And if DTG went down this road, the cost would have to be subsidised by increasing prices even further from the already quite expensive levels.

Personally, I would much rather see AP tied into a proper career mode, for those who might want to follow it.

That’s one way to look at it.

The way I see it is that I’m the train driver and the train is being simulated. I can feed myself from my nicely stocked snack box.

Maybe fuelling the train should be a thing but you shouldn’t be stopped from doing anything because of a lack of points unless they fully go the management route.

Some better improvements to role play as a passenger such as being able to eat and drink in the cafeteria cars I always thought might have been quite easy to implement.

though not much point in a currency system, could just take a contactless system with a unseeable infinite bank account if it bothers people the food/drink would be free
