out: The ECML is the second longest main railway line in the UK stretching 393 miles (633 km) from London King's Cross in the south to Edinburgh Waverly in the north with a branch to Leeds. The line is fully electrified and uses 25 kV 50 Hz AC overhead wires and has a top speed of 125 mph (201 km/h) with plans to upgrade capable sections to 140 mph (225 km/h). The section between Peterborough - Doncaster featuring stops at Grantham, Newark Northgate and Retford is since the release of Train Sim World 4 already featured in the game. This is a suggestion to add a free upgrade of the route (for those who already own it). The upgrade would feature an extension of the main line to York as well as add in the branch line to Leeds via Wakefield Wastegate also featuring the Neville Hill Depot. This is to add a bit of variety in terms of services and with the additon of Leeds and Neville Hill Depot the route would finally get a terminus where players could bring trains in and out of service. Speaking of trains, I also believe this would be the perfect time for DTG to introduce in the Class 91/Intercity 225 to the game. Hopefully this would be included in the free upgrade but possibly more probable would that it be realsed as separate add on.
Spot on and for the ECML route it should have been 1 to 1 with TSC which was PBO Doncaster York 112 mi 180 km
absolutely agreed. Since i dont own TSC (and i invested way too much in TSW already). Theres no good place for anybody to drive the Class 91 properly other than on TSC. And the route shouldve ended in Leeds or York anyway.
Practical will be that London King's Cross to York is made. We already got that in TSC.Add the class 800,802,803.
My only question about a full King's Cross to York is; had DTG ever attempted anything of this length in TSW? I'm asking because I seriously don't know. I was just on this line last week (GWR Arriva to York, LNER back to London) so it would absolutely be at the top of my wishlist. I'm just not sure if it's even within their scope.
Kassel to Wuzburg sits at 116 miles which is the longest TSW route. However, only 3 stations and copy and past scenery. I would imagine Kings Cross to York, with more than 3 stations would be a lot harder to make.
I think Peterborough to York/Leeds would be enough. I heard Kings Cross to Peterbrough is almost the same length as that. Any PC or Console probably couldnt handle it. I'd say make that a separate route
okay with total from KGX to York. How long in total miles is that. And also unless DTG can... somehow get back the first group license (please do DTG... most of the TOC nowadays are owned by them man-) then yea, hull trains 802, lumo 803, (and GWR 800, 802) along with other of their TOC trains are completely out of the picture. At best we are gonna get are the LNER Class 91 with Mk4 and DVT on the current ECML route.
