Hello there everyone, I don't know if this has been posted yet, but I just spotted a problem in the "It's Coming Home" scenario on East Coastway on PS4. Basically, after dropping off passengers at Brighton Station, you are told to take back the train to Lover's Walk depot. However, on the way out of Brighton, I am stopped by a red light, which is supposed to turn to a green light, so I could advance further. Yet, when playing this scenario yesterday, I was sat there for 5 minutes at least and the red light did not turn to green at all. I even checked the map to see if there was any inbound train that could be causing this delay. However, there was absolutely nothing. Can someone kindly please tell me if I have done anything wrong? Thank you very much. Kind regards, Andrew.
You should get a red signal briefly at the end of Brighton platform 7, but that clears at 22.51. There are no other reds in the scenario at all. Did you save the game part of the way through the scenario?
Yes. The Save function is bollixed; in particular, it screws up signaling. Generally not advisable to use it except on long, low-traffic routes like Sand Patch or Sherman Hill.
I see what you mean. Then again, I've learned the hard way that those 2 hour long Sand Patch Grade scenarios should not be saved, as they can definitely cause bugs. I've encountered one when I played the scenario with the Intermodal train formed of two GP-38's and two SD-40's. After saving the scenario, I came back to it and when I tried getting out of the cab at the destination, I couldn't get out whatsoever. Therefore, there went 2 hours of gameplay that I now have to redo again. PS: Why would saving the game screw up signals and other things so badly? Any idea?
Badly designed save system that doesn't take a snapshot of all game variables: so many instead reset to service-start default values. In other words, based on a shooter save system (rudimentary) rather than an RPG save system (complex)
