Hi, I don't know if this is bug or I am missing something. Brighton th Lewes Class 313 , timetable mode (no metter which service), just in front of Lewes I stopped the train in front of this red shunting signal, and can't restart the DMU. Brake cylinders wouldn' release. Also can't contact signaller.
The signal isn't for your line, it's for the line to the right, which'll be why you can't contact the signaller. Without a video, I'm not sure why you can't release the brakes.
Maybe you can't release the brakes because you had an AWS warning you didn't acknowledge. If that happens there's a wait time until the brakes will release again (1 minute I think).
Possibly OP not fully conversant with UK railway geography or route terminology. Must admit my heart skipped a beat when I saw East Coast, what have I missed, hand on wallet etc. Perhaps a mod could alter the title and any further context in the thread to East Coastway.
You're clearly a glass half full personality. I saw the title and thought it had been posted in TSW rather than the TS2022 forums.
True, I just tend to forget these UK oddities like "wrong" side driving Same for the route names, sometimes I get a bit confused, though some times back in history I travelled on the Brighton Main Line. I am sorry for using the wrong name in the thread title, it was a bit late when I posted this thread. Please correct it if possible, and I also hope noone suffered a heart attack guys.
Although the majority of the world's rail systems use right-hand running, the UK is far from unique, even in Europe. France, for example, uses left-hand running (except in Alsace-Lorraine, which is 'really' German ), plus Belgium, Italy, Sweden and Switzerland. And looking further afield, China, India and Japan are all left-hand, which is a lot of track mileage.
Near the top of the page there should be an option for you called “Thread Tools” from which you can edit the title of your own thread.
