Hi all at DTG. I'm really enjoying the game and the routes, keep up the great work. The East Midlands mainline intersects the branch line at Newark Northgate, and this intersection has the only flat crossing in the UK. The lines intersect at near right angles as the branch line from Nottingham to The East Coast crosses the main line providing services from London to Newcastle and beyond.... A great piece of engineering, sat right next to the River Trent and a pretty large Weir. I've enjoyed travelling the branch line since being a kid, the variety of trains seen on the line is great, the once daily high speed train that uses the line to collect passengers around 6am from Lincoln, travels along the branch line to Notts before going on to London, then returns them around 7/8pm in the evening. Regular passenger services in diesel passenger units, Travelling often from Grimsby, Lincoln Central, on to Nottingham and Leicester. There are a number of trains that run direct from Lincoln Central, turning off before the flat crossing to go to Newark Northgate and connect passengers from the east coast with the GNER mainline services. Fuel tankers, Coal vessels are a regular site on this line also with the docks and industry out on the east coast a likely supply line and destination. I'd really love to see this route in TSW, just because if the variety on offer - plus the scenery too (especially at Newark Castle stations as the tracks run by the river and the semi derilict Castle itself!) Cheers
