The British Rail Class 158 Express Sprinter is a diesel multiple-unit (or DMU), built specifically for British Rail between 1989 and 1992 by British Rail Engineering Limited (BREL) at its Derby Litchurch Lane Works. They were built to replace many locomotive-hauled passenger trains, and allowed cascading of existing Sprinter units to replace elderly 'heritage' DMUs.The Class 159DMUs are almost identical to the Class 158s, having been converted from Class 158 to Class 159 in two batches

The Class 222 is similar to the Class 220 Voyager and Class 221 Super Voyager trains used by CrossCountry and Virgin Trains, but it has a different interior. The Class 222 trains have more components fitted under the floors to free up space within the body. Built for Midland Mainline and Hull Trains, today all are operated by East Midlands Trains.

A nice route idea seeing as the hope valley line is quite scenic and well liked. However, I think that the Class 222s don't operate this route and something like the Class 142 or Class 150 for Northern would work a lot better and be more realistic for this route.

DTG do not have the license for East midland trains either so if they were to use those locomotives they would have to be unbranded
