The route London Kings Cross to Peterborough consisting of the LNER 225 set, LNER 800 series, Thameslink, Grand Central, Hull Trains and Great Northern. That would be a good route to do as it is well known for the mallard making history for the fastest steam locomotive.
So you want a 76 mile route, with 6 different trains or liveries (excluding freight) and the possibility of a steam train which would need the route almost completely reconfigured...? Sounds like a lot of work
Kings Cross - Peterborough would be cool to have in Tsw2, but maybe scale back on the number of different trains so that the workload for Dtg is more manageable, in my opinion the route should come with the following: Class 800/801 Class 387 Class 66 And then for future dlc they could consider trains like: Class 91 (Intercity 225) Class 700 Class 180
No ECML would be complete without a Deltic, though. The problem being, although the Cross to Posh provides a logical A to B, 76 miles is still too long for DTG's weeny route building aspirations. So you would end up with something silly like Kings Cross to Stevenage...
Or they could knock it back a couple of years and have the 387, 313, 66 and HST modified from existing models - or just reused, and then the 91/800/801 + 700/365 as the new units. The 700 could be a loco DLC, serving on this route, SEHS and BML. The 800/801 could probably be spared if it's
Or they could do what they did with German routes and release DLC's with the new locos and then an expansion pack to bring it into the route. But I would love to see more than just one type of train in a route.
Only for the 16 years they ran properly on the line... Don't mind them hauling freight but there's much better engines to make for this
