The route I would love to see come to Train Sim World is the East Coast Mainline: Newcastle to Edinburgh Waverley, it's my favourite part of the East Coast Mainline cause it's the only part of the route where you drive/travel along the coast and you're quite close to the rocks especially when you get North of Berwick Upon Tweed the senary is beautiful especially at sunrise and sunset. TRAINS Main Train: LNER Azuma Class 801 Northern Class 156 & 158 (for Newcastle to Morpeth services) Cross Country 220 & 221, Lumo Class 803 Transpennine Express Class 802, Diesel Railtours (as we get a lot of them now days). And steam Railtours Flying Scotsman STATIONS Newcastle, Manors, Cramlington, Morpeth, Alnmouth, Berwick Upon Tweed, Reston, Dunbar, And Edinburgh Waverley. NOTE: Yes I am aware developers don't have licence for some Train companies mentioned above but it's always worth having your say and letting developers in this group know what you want to see cause you never know what the future holds. Thoughts?
Maybe have it backdated a few years to when the Azumas were new? Would give ample opportunity to have the HST and IC225 (the latter of which could come as a DLC and layer onto the current ECML). Would be better than having a load of IETs around (they all drive pretty much the same).
Diesel Railtour badly needed: Class 55 Deltic! Also, add some new heavy freight power with a Class 60 or Class 70. Or maybe some of Stadler's Euro Dual locos (BR Class 68, 93, 98, 99).
I did a railtour from York to Edinburgh a couple of weeks ago and the section by the coast and the approach in to Berwick was stunning. This would be an amazing addition.
Last year I was on holliday in Scotland and I went back to the Nethelands from Edinburgh Waverley to London Kings Cross by train and I realy enjoyed the coastal scenery.. So I would love to see this route in the game.. Day one buy for me..
Deltic please! Late 70’s with Class 47’s and 45’s on secondary and inter regional services plus the Paxman HST’s starting to make inroads.
