I know this has been suggested before but I feel the current ECML is a bit lack luster so today I'm suggesting that the current ECML route is extended to York and Leeds just over 100 miles in length.
    The stations:
    Towards York:
    • York
    From Leeds:
    • Leeds
    • Outwood
    • Wakefield Westgate
    • Sandal & Agbrigg
    • Fitzwilliam
    • South Elmsall
    • Adwick
    • Bentley (South Yorkshire)
    The Trains:
    Class 91 (Intercity 225)
    upload_2024-7-31_8-46-20.png
    Class 331 (NT)
    Please see attached file
    Services:
2tph from Leeds towards London only calling at Wakefield Westgate on the extension (LNER)
1tph from Leeds to Doncaster calling at all stations on the Leeds extension (NT)
3tph form York towards London (LNER)

Please let me know what you think.

The 331 does the Leeds to Doncaster stopper, not the 195.

Thanks for pointing it out, despite me double checking I still didn't read the unit number and just saw the shape.

It is easy to mix them up. A 331 is basically just an electrified 195.
