In this suggestion, I am suggesting that the playable service on the ECML which is "6E70 Acton TC to Tinsley" should be split into two because you have a 48 minute wait at Claypole Passenger Loop (may be longer if you arrive early) and I'm sure players don't want to be waiting that long.
This is a simulator, right? How do you think real drivers feel having to wait that long? They don't have the luxury of coming back to it.
That’s not really the point though. Yes it is a simulator, and I’m sure in real life it is dull hanging around for almost an hour - BUT however much of a simulator it may be, it ultimately is still just a game, and hanging around for 50 minutes isn’t necessary.
By that logic, DTG should completely do away with all in-game HUD and UI Displays then. Drivers don’t have HUDs. It wouldn’t be ideal, but realistic, right? Or perhaps the ability to change camera views? I understand that some people, yourself included, are in favour of long periods of hanging around doing nothing for realism, but my original point still stands. It is just a game, and certain things can be / should be touched upon appropriately to match this.
It’s also important to note that by splitting the services, it does not mean you can’t do the whole run in one go. If you wish to wait for 40 minutes, go for it. But splitting services such as this gives people the choice. If they wish to complete part one and then skip the wait and load up part two, they very much can.
If you read my post you'd have seen that I said it isn't ideal, despite the realism. Obviously, it could be split into two, which I also never said it couldn't or shouldn't.
