Hi. I have noticed some (minor) stuff on the ECML, which I really enjoy driving. I have driven service 1A12 from Doncaster to Grantham. I have noticed that the information screen on the right-hand side says "next stop/station Grantham" from the beginning although the first stop was actually Newark Northgate. When driving the Class 43 from MML at night, light is emanating throughout the train. i think that isse also existed at MML some time ago. Lastly, more of a question: when driving the 801 at high speed (I think above 100 mph), there is a recurring silent "ping" noise in the cab (like an old Casio digital watch, but very silent compared to AWS and DSD). What is this? Have not found any reference to this. Thanks.
The ping noise is most likely there ding you get when the next signal is green when going over aws magnets.
