This part of the east coast main line is from London Kings Cross to Peterborough. The East coast main line is operated by London North Eastern Railway (LNER). LNER run class 800 (azuma) And 91 This route consists of a 76 mile run from the heart of London to Peterborough. The class 800 is made by hitachi in japan and runs on over head catenary. The class 91 also runs on the same type of power and was made BREL. The ECML is one of the most popular routes as it has some of the best trains in the UK and is one of the busiest lines in Britain.
