Want to start by saying I love the route and can’t wait to see what DLC will be coming out for it on another note after a lot of time on this route I’ve realised some things could really use a little bit of work. 1.Stop Markers The Accuracy Bonus does not apply to you stopping in the correct position with the Stop board out of the drivers side window. Some instances for a “good stop” even have them at the door to the cab like why would a driver be looking behind them for the stop marker. Service 1N29 at Grantham doesn’t stop at the stop marker at all if you stop at the ALL stop marker (in an 801/2) you are apparently way off the stop mark and lose substantial points. 2. Neutral Sections Since Driving on the Glasgow to Edinburgh route and having the immersion of having to watch closely for the warnings it really spoils the route when you don’t really have to worry about neutral sections because they Don’t work as they should I think rivet games nailed this. 3. I may be wrong about this but I don’t think I am. There seem to be a lot of Pedestrian crossings with walkways and small gates either side which there are no whistle boards at. I mean I don’t see why Network Rail would put a crossing Too small for Vehicles with gates at either side of the track if it wasnt going to be for the public. 4. Signal P554 I love seeing these signs finally But not a single one in limited clearance zones (Start of Tunnels, Bridges and near walls) Then there is this one in one of the massive open areas 4 tracks not where limited clearance is an issue as standing in the 6 foot when a train is approaching is a sackable offence. 5. Guard Buzzer On the ECML I know we the player have to operate the doors as train managers don’t exist (Hopefully in TSW 5 maybes multiplayer could make that an option) But I can’t help but get annoyed at the fact of if I don’t stare at the interlock button I don’t know when the doors are closed and Usually the train manager is in control of the doors so he would signal to the driver to Proceed. 6. Signals flashing green A green flashing signal indicates to the driver that the next 3 sections are all clear However when I get to the next signal it will be Double yellow I thought this may be for a level crossing control light but they don’t clear to green and there is usually no crossing in the section. 7. LNER Addressed this in the video they did. AZUMAS are limited to 125 So why are these limited to 126 If the idea is to keep us busy with being constantly on and off the throttle We want immersion and realism this is supposed to be a simulator. Constantly fighting with notches on a train that should be capped at line speed is just annoying. There is plenty of focus required if we need to watch for (Working) Neutral sections, Whistle boards where they should be and then where we should be stopping. I am a massive Fan of this route as I am progressing towards becoming a trainee train driver but it’s a shame to see that to be a good driver on this route you have to be a sloppy one Or Have the Dreaded HUD Switched on. Keep up the good work guys I mean for the longest route on the game so far I’d say it’s already at 90% Let’s get it to that 100% mark and make it perfect I’ll speak to a few drivers and see if I can get a camera set up in the cab for the section in question but I’m not gonna promise as rules are very strict. Many Thanks Richard G
It is the same with me on Xbox One (gen 8). Every time I start a journey from Doncaster on Flying Scotsman or any other train, the game will crash when departing. It is the same issue when approaching Doncaster from Peterborough. After passing the freight yard before Doncaster Station, I always have to quickly save my progress before it crashes. It happens on both: the reduced and full timetables and has been like this ever since it released on TSW 4.
What gen are you on? I’m currently on series S and I can usually manage a full return run (Doncaster-Peterborough-Doncaster or vice Versa) before the game crashes, and that’s utilising the full timetable with all appropriate DLC layers installed. If you’re on Series S/X then it’s a mystery to me why some people experience more crashes than others with the same layers installed etc. If you’re on a standard Xbox One then that might be the reason. I noticed my Xbox One began to struggle with the initial release of the extended SEHS, prior to the 700 being released hence I decided to upgrade to Series S.
Yeah that will probably be the reason. It’s slowly becoming an outdated console. I believe the crashes are down to memory (RAM) which each console has. The higher the memory = fewer crashes. I believe Series X has 16GB RAM, Series S has 10GB and the 8th Gen Xbox has 8GB. The difference between the 8GB of the 8th Gen and the 10GB of the Series S may not seem like much, but I have significantly experienced fewer crashes. I do still have them, as to be expected, but as I say, not as often.
I’m sorry I can’t comment I’m on XBOX Series X and it runs flawless no lag no glitching and no Problem I was commenting on what needs fixing in the updates. Tbf as this is the largest Route on TSW at this Time I can imagine it is the sheer size of the station and route that is crashing the game.
