Intro This section of the ECML (York to Newcastle) is the most popular suggested section of the ECML. There is a lot of options and detail to this section of the ECML. It is one of the most famous rail lines in the world, it is major rail connection for the North of England. I would recommend that you read my York Extension suggestion first: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/ecml-extension-to-york-and-possible-add-ons-for-ecml.80527/ Trains These are the train operating companies that will run on this route: LNER Grand Central CrossCountry TransPennine Express Northern Tyne & Wear Metro *EMR* (This will occasionally run as AI at York for trains to Scarborough & Sheffield if you own Midland Mainline) I have decided not to include Lumo because after Newcastle, it stops nowhere until Stevenage, not even York, which would make Lumo pointless on this suggestion. Can't say owt for Middlesborough or Sunderland, but York to Newcastle is a lovely section of track on the whole, though the racetrack can be, and is a bit dull with the 80xs. Would prefer it with Valentas and Deltics but still a good suggestion mate.
I can see your point, and I think I might have made this a bit too big for Dovetail to handle, and I also think there should be deltics as well. I chose it to go to Sunderland because it would give the full Grand Central route before going straight down to London, and Middlesborough because it's not far from Eaglescliffe.
