The tunnel assets have a BoxReflectionCapture that is causing a weird pattern with specular light. When I removed the BoxReflectionCaptures from the scenery the bug is gone. In the editor shot you can see a glow on the left side of the wall, that is also produced by the element. After fix:
In your after-fix picture of the cab, it appears that the eye adaptation is not working. Shouldn’t the cab be much darker and the tunnel brighter?
It works, it doesn't show it very well in the picture. I made a recording to show it works when driving back.
I spoke to the TA's about this and the reflection capture is needed for some of these areas - it's just the wrong reflection capture. This is one of the things rivet are fixing. So your change makes a really bad image to a much better one, but still not right. Apparently, without it, it defaults to using the outside sky for reflections (when you're inside a tunnel, that's going to look odd, but far less annoying than what it does currently - i will grant you Matt.
[QUOTE="DTG Matt, post: 599551, member: 257" <Snip> Matt.[/QUOTE] Glad there is a solution for it and Rivet is working on a patch. I removed it to show the reflectioncapture is the cause of the problem, not trying to make it better. There are also some textureless ballast assets (3rd screenshot) at the end/beginning of the tunnel.
If this is in the longer tunnel, well, I have watched a cab ride video on the line and, at the mid-point of that tunnel is an air vent that casts light into it and the trains.
This needs to be tested by Rivet Games for future issues about the Tunnel lighting issue and I do have a feeling this bug is also present on WCL Arosa and IOW tunnels. These should be fixed
