Is the timetable true to life and not based on unrealistic, computer generated AI timings?

Are the announcements the actual ScotRail audio that was released?

Will this include Falkirk Grahamston - Larbert - Stirling - Dunblane/Alloa and Cumbernauld-Springburn? or is it just Edinburgh-Glasgow via Falkirk High?

If you read the article, there are no subs or layers on other routes or this route.

I am reminded of how Forza Horizon 4 basically swapped the liveries between the trams and buses :D

    My question:
Is Millerhill Stabling Sidings or Craigentinny TMD modelled on the route as the 385s are serviced there when in Edinburgh, as it seems Eastfield Holding Sidings has been modelled on the Glasgow side, thanks ;)

P.S. Before you quote and say what about Haymarket Depot, Haymarket Depot is Edinburgh's diesel depot for ScotRail so wouldn't be accessible for electric trains :)

Will the PIS announcements be dynamic, ie if I put it on BML, it would do BML announcements?

Route's looking utterly awesome from the photo's I have seen so well done Rivet on that one. My main questions are:

    1. Is the route using the December 2019 working timetable or something similar?
    2. Will we get double trains (6, 7, 8 car trains)?
    3. Will their be additional AI/Driveable services between Croy & Queen Street as I an aware there are other lines that join up at Croy so was wondering if we are getting these services as a bonus?

Can't wait to play this route. The scenery looks great and I think the additional features will really improve the gameplay experience.

What depot can we see in the photo in the article?
How many services are there in the timetable?
Will there be AI services at Edinburgh and Glasgow to make both stations look as busy as they are in real life?

The January roadmap did say the route is set now and current, so I would expect a current timetable.

99% chance no, as if these are authentic announcements it will be the scotrail ones which obviously don’t do BML

The announcements are tied to the tms. So if there aren't bml destinations on there, I don't think it would work

You have to pay for everything. Nothing is free unless you've purchased a previous version of the game then the port is free. But you have to buy everything else

Question 1: Will this include a 2 minute start up period for services ?

it’s only 15 seconds on WCL (not even enough to complete load passengers starting from the first second)

Question 2: anything regarding Layers ? or Ai only 385 services ?

Question 3: how much is explorable of Edinburgh Waverley Station, are all platforms accessible ? Edit: (Missed that this was answered in the roadmap but seeing it in the preview stream would be great to get visuals and to show of the features like the lift and station design)

Question 4: is the onboard PIS what the driver can set in reality all working as intended ? the images released so far seem to show it not… also is this set up Automatically or is it manually changed by the player ?

(it does seem the best working option is Auto, manual seems to confuse the Ai a bit as they technically operate it auto, it does take away the functionality but I’d rather it work well than not)

Question 5: is it coded that the Class 385 Ai trains correctly display their PIS and Taillights/Headlights and passenger lights appropriately (along with taillights set up for player when they start a service)

One of the photos shows an 8-car so I’d believe so- nearly all of the services in real life are 8-car units.

Are the remnants of Winchburgh station modelled as you come out of the tunnel?
One of my friends had a house viewing in the town the other week and we got super invested upon noticing there was a "Station Road" in finding said station, seeing as the town hasn't had one for 90 years, and she had to get there by bus.

They go along as far as the Stirling branch line from Edinburgh, calling at Haymarket only so would really just be ai only. Although they are maintained at Haymarket depot so potential for stock moves from there to Glasgow, but think unlikely it’ll be included.

I know its not to do with this route but when will have more infomation about West Cornwall Local: Steam Railtour which going from the title alone really should have been a new layer rather then an expansion pack..

When rivet are more comfortable sharing it. And think of it more of a scenario pack from tsc with a new skin

With this being its "longest route to date", has Rivet had any direct input/help from DTG regarding the creation of what I assume will be a busy, interesting timetable? Or has Rivet created their own timetable with the occasional asking of feedback/advice from DTG? I ask as the DTG team have a lot of experience with busy routes (such as London Commuter etc) and, thus, have created some brilliant timetables.

sounds promising, can’t imagine they would make an article to say “385 only sorry no other appropriate stock”

I don't think it would be an easy task at all cuz it needs to be unique to every single service. Bml is an example where there's a lot of different services, requiring many different recordings. Matt did say during the roadmap that dtg will learn from rivet to see if it can be applied to other routes for the future. Whether it's only for the 385 or whether it is more broader and can be used on other trains as well. I would doubt it will come to the legacy collection simply due to how massive and complex of a project it is for every single piece of dlc where there are train announcements

More information on layers and subs will release in an article. But the 314 would not be appropriate because I read that it no longer runs to this day, so wouldn't run in the year this route is set. According to a wikipedia article and tsw's wiki page, they were withdrawn in 2019 except for 1. and used for hydrogen cell demonstrations/testing I believe and now known as the 614. The 314s were replaced by other units such as the 385.

As.much as this game frustrates me at times I'm actually looking forward to this I must admit, it would be nice though, given how dlc is more expensive now, if it had more than 1 train, hoping for a dmu aswell. Speaking of DMU's we could do with some 158/166/170 type rolling stock, any idea.if anything like this is forthcoming?

Think the new Skyhook route has potential ti be a 158. There aren’t any DMU’s that run on the Edinburgh ti Glasgow route these days as far as I know

There's a new uk route being made by skyhook. Route code indicates diesel electric and diesel hydraulic and I think the 158 fits into one of those categories

Does the class 385 have the traction motor change? (I think at around 30-40mph)

How many services are there in total?

    Are there freight layers?

Assuming you mean the frequency change that happens at 27mph when accelerating, 25mph when decelerating? If so I hope so as thats one of the main things that I know the 385 for, especially when daily commuting it for over 3 years
