I'm having unexplained crashes in the editor again (This time when I put the tracks on it after creating the ground it crashes immediately.) Has DTG been fiddling with the settings again?
ya i have that too. i tried to laydown track and it crashes. were as before i lay track and it won't crash. so this update messed something up. so for time being i uninstalled the tsw5 pc editor beta.
For a different reason. Updated to version 1.0.7 which fixed the route map view crashes. Now if I make a new route with version 1.0.7, laying track crashes the editor which was not happening with version 1.0.6 I sure hope this can all get sorted out.
I know one thing for sure. It worked fine for me for a whole week. I'm seriously thinking about changing the editor back to TSW4 because they don't update with it anymore. It was pretty stable for me
DTG Alex another bad bug, sorry for bothering you about this. After creating new terrain it'll crash if you try placing track onto it. Laying track on existing terrain is fine though.
Problem is TSW4 Editor is gone from the Epic Store. Nevermind it is still avaliable but only if you've downloaded it before with epic store.
TSW4 editor is here still in the store But we know how it goes. It will take a long time again until they can fix the bug. And unfortunately in epic games it is not possible to restore a version of the TSW5 editor
So I remember I know a trick with Windows, in CMD you can link folders to behave like they are in a folder when they are not. So I can have my plugins in TSW5 Editor Plugin folder but still use TSW4 Editor without copying everything over. it should look like this in cmd, replace your plugin with your plugin folder name 'make sure they are named the same' (mklink /j "TrainSimWorld4MOD\TSPrototype\Plugins\pluginname" "TrainSimWorld5MOD\TSPrototype\Plugins\pluginname" If done correctly you should have folders with the shortcut icon on them. Also make sure the folder address is fully entered, the above was an example.
I'm getting the same error and have been pulling my hair out for the last 5 hours... thank god it's not just me. The only "workaround" I have found is placing a track in the TSW4 PC Editor, that then "fixes" the TrackTile and it then lets you work in the TSW5 PC Editor. I have no idea what's happened but looks like I'm reverting to the TSW4 editor for now...
i was thinking first the same. But the bug report you get when you crash told me enough. Which made me feel the need to report it again. And now it's hot waiting for DTG. My experience with DTG is that they are not exactly fast.
Anyone know if DTG have acknowledged the track laying crash bug? Seems everyone making new tiles has this problem.
For the time being use TSW4 editor to lay the tracks, once tracks have been laid on a tile the track tile data becomes safe to use in TSW5 editor.
Matt has said on another thread that he's asked someone to look into this, so hopefully he'll be able to follow up on it.
it is still more than just laying new ground and tracks. After each update I also notice that all the things I add are also removed and I can check everything again. So it starts to seem to me that they do it on purpose every time and that it is no longer small mistakes. It is indeed what I thought it was. It is suddenly no longer possible to load addons. So it is not just the ground. But they deliberately destroyed the editor. And I think I can give a reaction to that now. I really think this is unacceptable. They should leave working settings alone!
Since the 1.0. 7 update, everything has suddenly been disabled and it can no longer load anything. I think I'm announcing an end to making addons for TSW5. This error keeps coming back. And reinstalling every time is not an option either, then you'll keep working. The editor can't find anything for others I've spoken to who are helping with my project. Also, my ground texture was suddenly removed again. While it was still there. I had to recreate everything and it worked again. They should stop messing around with this and leave the settings alone. And if something doesn't work, you should fix it after reporting it and not just let everything wait. You should also see it this way: We do pay money to DTG for this. And I don't think it's really the intention that this should happen. This is just a final warning from my side. I also have another unreal running (I don't have the problems in that one.)
Start Train Sim World 5 and wait until it gets to the main menu, then close it again and open the editor. Sometimes the editor forgets you own your DLC until you open the game first
I do that every day. Before I start the editor. Because the editor always forgets. I am now building on the ground that is from Version below 1.0.7. In my case that is between Enschede (NL) - Steinfurt-Burgsteinfurt (DE). But I hope that DTG will really work faster. This is really not possible. They are blocking the work of many. And it seems as if they enjoy it.
Anyone else find they have to regularly re-fill the track/signal sections because their timetable won’t compile, being unable to find a path for some trains? This has happened randomly several times after restarting the editor, even when I have made no changes to any of the track layout.
Not that, but I have the problem that the trains stop at switches or signals in front of switches because the dispatcher doesn't change them. So the trains can't get any further.
I’m wondering if you have tried recompiling your timetable after this has happened and whether it would be successful.
I've already done that. I also reset all breakpoints, but without success. Some switches are not set and paths are set incorrectly.
Thanks, I was curious as to whether a refill would be needed to get the timetable to recompile but it seems not in your case. That’s the only thing I can think of that might possibly sort out your pathing and signalling problems.
Sì, si tratta di un problema recente, attenderemo maggiori informazioni e una patch da DTG. Latest information was they're looking on it, but that's all for now
Im not sure if this is just me but since this new update ive not been able to snap a track to another end of a track and have to snap further down to make a junction then start messing around with it to eventually snap to the end
Since the new update, you can now reuse previously placed shape signals that previously caused a crash. The “LED signal” function also works for some Ks signals.
