Since the launch of TSW6 yesterday I find that I can no longer use the Play Button in the Editor without a full Unreal crash.

Have tried changing the PIE settings from New Window to Current Viewport and using an old scenario which I have not edited but still unable to run. Also checked in Epic Games Launcher that there are no Updates.

The Editor itself seems to be working OK but as I'm unable to test changes I'm making that isn't much help.

I guess this means I'll have to abandon work on my GWR Loco in the Editor for a while (return to Blender) and wait for either a fix or the arrival of the "new" TSW6 editor.

I just had the same problem and wondered if running TSW6 this morning may have been part of the problem. Decided to briefly fire up TSW5 and then went back to the editor, recompiled my timetable and set it for PIE.
That seems to have fixed it for now, fingers crossed.

Thanks for your reply - I will try that.

Edited for update - that worked fine for me too.

    Thanks again.

Had a new problem today that has never occurred before. The editor crashes when I try to approach one particular tile whether jumping to that location from the 2d map or flying there.
The crash details refer to a problem with only one tile on the edge of my landscape which I tried completely removing and then recreating but this failed to fix the crashes.
Then I restored my level with a complete plugin backup folder saved a day before the main TSW6 release date, ie on the 29th Sept. which was originally working fine.
This also crashes in the same way so I’m beginning to suspect I may be stuck with this odd behaviour until the new TSW6 editor is fit for use.

I haven't encountered that yet but after using TSW6 Editor the original fault has returned so I will try your solution again.

Also found that the Print screen key doesn't work in the new editor so it might be time to revert to the TSW5 editor (if it's still working).

I have removed the "solved" from the thread title as that may have been premature.

Just for the record, after deleting absolutely all the types of tile for this one problem area I managed to recreate the tile without a crash.

Last time I didn't realise that the stubs of track which were left overlapping into this tile were left with faulty end nodes which could not be added to or repaired and their short section of track had to be carefully deleted to avoid further UE4 crashes. That itself was tricky and did result in a few crashes until I managed to creep up on some of them by isolating them completely before deleting them.

Sigh of relief and back in business with the TSW5 editor, for now.
