TSW 5 has, in my opinion, too less german diesel trains but there is a beautiful Route in Germany called the Eifelstrecke. It connects Köln Messe/Deutz and Trier. you come across some cities like Euskirchen. The Train driving there is the Alstom Coradia Lint (BR 620). Its a modern Diesel Train thats pretty cool. Would be a great Track for TSW 5!
I absolutely agree that TSW has too few German diesel-only routes so far. I was hoping so, so much that TSW5 would start out with a neat diesel route, to really showcase the talents of the 218. I'm slowly getting sick of all the double track, electrified main routes. Sure, a new route is always nice, but more variety would be even nicer. Regarding the Eifel route, I would very much support it! Although it's not "my" corner of Germany, it's a very diverse and interesting route running through a beautiful part of the country. But sadly I've got low hopes of the route getting made... it's just too long. With about 180km (if I calculated correctly) it's way above basically all we've got in TSW so far.
Thats sadly true but my seggestion would be to make it from Cologne Messe/Deutz to Kall. its way shorter but it has the current line because after kall is not in operation at the time. But the line is then very much shorter and we dont have the beautiful Eifel Part of the line but they could add the erfttalbahn. its a short part from euskirchen to bad münstereifel. its a beautiful part too. or maybe the Bördebahn from euskirchen to düren. but you need a second train for it and its longer so i would like the erftalbahn and eifelstrecke only to kall
