Not sure really where to ask this question.

On free roam when spawning in trains the electric trains don't have power just keeps saying to close main circuit breaker however doing this doesn't produce a result.

I am playing on the ECML so all accessible paths are electric so I'm not sure.

I'm trying to learn it thoroughly ready for the official release and I can get all my trains running especially the 158 Grantham to Peterborough.

This has stumped me though? Does anybody know or have any ideas what I'm missing.

    Thank you.

keep in mind different trains also use different power systems. you can't just (as an example) slap an ICE onto ECML and say "shall he driveth"

What trains are you spawning? Not sure if TSW4 actually implements that, but not all electric trains use the same voltage and (when it’s AC) frequency. German and Austrian trains for example run on 15kV/16.7Hz AC, while the ECML is supplied in 25kV/50Hz AC. Most modern trains will refuse to close the MCB if they detect a voltage that’s significantly different from what they expect, so if you tried to put a German Loco on the ECML, I would expect that to fail.

free roam isn't off the rails mode. You have to know what trains can drive where and the different power voltages.

    Thank you all for replying.

There was never a statement saying of the rails was part of the free roam experience, I read to much into it.

Glad to know it was just me and ot a problem with the game. Thank you for pointing out something that should have been obvious.

    Enjoy your journeys.
